Privacy

How BD Event collects, uses and protects your data when you browse events, RSVP, discuss or suggest an event.

Data we collect

When you use BD Event we may store: (1) event submissions — the URL and facts extracted from the page you submit; (2) notification emails — only when you explicitly subscribe; (3) community profile — display name, role, and optional contact channel (email/Zalo) which is encrypted and never shown publicly; (4) cookies — language, visitor identifier, CSRF and admin session; (5) server logs — IP address, user-agent, pages visited.

How data is used

Data is used to run the event directory (publish, edit, remove events), deliver notifications you subscribed to (registration open, event updates), power community RSVP and discussion, and improve event accuracy. We never sell your data to third parties.

AI-assisted submissions

When you submit an event URL, an AI assistant reads the page to extract name, date/time, venue, fee and registration link. Results are published only after an admin review. Your personal information is not used to train models.

Data sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising. Private email/Zalo never appears in HTML, API responses, logs or attendee lists. External links on events go to the organizer's own page — their privacy policy applies once you leave BD Event.

Security

Write actions are protected with CSRF tokens, per-visitor rate limits, SSRF-guarded URL validation and prepared statements. Subscribed emails are hashed and encrypted at rest, and the admin console requires a password.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from notification emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or an email request; delete your RSVP/community profile; and ask us to delete or correct personal data about you. Send requests to vu.hoang@dataon.com and we will act as soon as possible.
